MADHUMAD SAARANG

          Madhumad Saarang is a hindusthani classical raga, also called as Madhmath Saarang or Madhumadhavi Saarang, it is an audava raga. Madhumad Saarang belongs to the Kafi Thaat and is an afternoon raga. Raga Madhyamaavathi of the Carnatic classical style is the equivalent raga of Madhumad Saarang. The Madhyamaavathi raga of the carnatic classical style is regarded as an auspicious raga, and often performed to end a concert like Raga Bhairavi of the Hindusthani classical style.
